Buyer's Guide

Nylon Netting

Nylon netting is made from a synthetic polymer known for its durability and versatility. Nylon threads are knitted together, in a similar fashion that cloth is knitted. Threads are fed vertically and weft threads move horizontally, to interlace and form a fabric.

Nylon nets are very light, smooth, with fine holes, non-organic, waterproof and resistant to chemical reactions. These properties make it useful for various usages, including fishing, sports, gardening, and industrial purposes.

Production

Material Selection: We use 100% pure nylon granules for our nylon threads.

Preparing the Raw Material: Nylon Granules undergo monofilament extrusion, using controlled heating and tension to make the nylon threads/filaments.

Colour Dyeing: The filament passes through the desired colour dyeing solvent.

Coiling: Once the filament is ready, it is then coiled onto compatible bobbins.

Setup: The bobbins are then set up as required by the knitting machine. This requires feeding the threads onto the warp beams.

Knitting: Each thread passes alternately over and under the divergent wires. The horizontal thread is fed through.

Feeding: The vertical threads are fed slightly, according to the appropriate mesh size.

Harness repositioning: The two harnesses holding the vertical wires switch their height positions.

Further Knitting: The horizontal thread is fed through again, in order to continue the knitting process. Proper tension control is necessary at all times, for the uniformity and strength of the netting. The fabric is bound together tightly, with the machine's movements.

Border Control: The borders of the fabric are knitted extra-close, which keeps the net held in place.

Disengaging: The final netting is disengaged from the machine, ready to be rolled.

Heat Treatment (Optional): Heat treatment may be conducted for further stability and shape retention.

Packaging: The knitted nylon net is cut into 100ft rolls and packaged by hand.

Quality Inspection: Each roll is inspected twice in its production cycle. During production, mesh size is being measured. Then, at the moment of length measurements and packaging, the quality of the final product is assessed.
